Reclaim Tax Joins networks as professionals partnerships Sponsor

Shrewsbury-based Reclaim Tax — a division of Catax, which helps businesses to access beneficial tax reliefs for patents, Capital Allowances and Research & Development — has pledged to support the regional business community by sponsoring all of the Professionals Partnership events for the 2019/2020 year.

As part of its sponsorship, Reclaim Tax will also be providing local charities with an effective platform to spread awareness of their vital across the county and beyond, by donating its four speaking slots across the year to causes of their choice.

Chris Jones, Regional Development Director of the West Midlands Catax region, explained: “At Catax, we’re dedicated to raising awareness of valuable tax reliefs and benefits to help SMEs grow and prosper, and with around 50% of them being underutilised by eligible businesses, we need to do more to ensure those who can, do use them.”

According to Chris, many business owners aren’t aware of the tax reliefs available to them for Capital Allowances, Patent Box and Research & Development, or they don’t apply due to misconception about whether their businesses qualify.

He added: “We sponsored two small business awards at this year’s Shropshire Chamber Business Awards and we had the opportunity to learn about some of the fantastic businesses based here in the region.

“Incentivising growth is hugely beneficial for all involved, from business owners and staff, to HRMC and the wider economy, so sponsoring the Professionals Partnership was a natural next step to ensure that we continue to help local businesses access the wide range of support available.”

Richard Sheehan at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “A huge thanks to Catax and Reclaim Tax for coming on board to support the Professionals Partnership networking events, and for kindly donating their speaking slot to a charity at each event in order to help them awareness of their fantastic work. The event continues to grow as a key networking event held in the region, and we’d encourage all businesses interested in attending or learning more to visit www.shropshire-chamber.co.uk.”
